Full Stack .NET Developer
BlueBolt is seeking application developers to build and maintain web-based applications. We primarily use the Microsoft stack (C#, VB.Net, SQL Server, Azure) on the server side and an array of front-end technologies and frameworks on the client side (React, Vue, Knockout, and an Angular app or two). We utilize .NET-based content management systems in a lot of our development (DNN, Episerver, some Umbraco, and potentially Sitefinity among a handful of others).
Our ideal candidate will work on cross-functional project teams of varying sizes depending on the project. You will work with project managers, UI/UX consultants, business analysts, designers, technical architects, and other developers to build enterprise-level systems for our clients.

Develop web applications based on gathered requirements and technical specifications.
Take responsibility for unit and system testing as needed.
Operate within the dynamics of a team; exercising proper etiquette and project stewardship during all phases of development.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and current design patterns and practices.
Experience using the .NET framework and languages (C#, VB.Net).
Experience with source control and build management tools; preferably Git and Azure DevOps.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Independent, detail-oriented, and can present oneself as a good change agent when needed.
Experience with the design and maintenance of relational databases; preferably SQL Server.
Prior experience with ORMs (such as Entity Framework or nHibernate).
Prior experience with CMS development; preferably with .NET-based platforms such as Umbraco, Episerver, or similar platforms.
Previous experience working on e-commerce applications.
Experience with Shopify or integrating applications with Shopify.
Experience with cloud development platforms and tooling (Azure, AWS).
Experience with IIS, Windows Server, and general server management.
Previous experience working in an agency or consulting setting.

The Senior Full Stack Developer will be responsible for all stages of the development lifecycle including but not limited to reviewing the specification/requirements documents, designing, coding, testing and deploying code to different environments. We are looking for candidates with strong software development skills including SQL Database and backend experience. This position will report to the Applications Development Manager and will work with other developers in the Wakefield office.
Learn existing systems: Within the first 6 months, learn existing legacy systems and refactor/rewrite it using modern technology and tools.
Attain an average of two work items per day: Within the first 6 months, work on the Team Foundation Server (TFS) issue list for enhancements and bug fixing and attain an average of two TFS work items per day.
Launch a new product line: By the end of 2019, launch a new product line to the existing eCommerce application with very limited external help.
Independently make modifications to a new element of technology: By second quarter of 2020, learn at least one new technology element used for integration, including BizTalk and/or WebAPI, and start making modifications independently.
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience required
Minimum of five years of relevant and progressive Web Development experience required
Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
Knowledge of Web Services/APIs required
SQL Server DDL and DML experience required
Agile development experience in a scrum environment required
Travel Expectations (if applicable)
Travel Percentage: Up to 5%
Occasional travel for training and conferences
