Job Description

This position will be focused on Front-End development as part of a Data Engineering team

Responsibilities include:

Design and implementation of graphical user interfaces that provide advanced analytics on subsurface data lake.

Collaborate with Data Engineers on specifications, design and development of reusable APIs to be consumed by new visualizations

Implement best practices and lead deliveries from other team members

Work and collaborate closely with leading advisors, data architects, data scientists, software engineers and digital projects across multiple business areas in the company

Map requirements to Azure components to create new solutions and work with relevant teams for implementation

Recommend and implement improvements for data visualization.

Understand trends of mobile and web development and participate in technology assessments

Challenge established ways of working and ensure that standards, tools, technologies and work
methods are developed, qualified and implemented.

Work with Azure SDKs and APIs to create new mobile or web applications

Qualifications

IT/Computer science/engineering advanced degree or bachelor degree with relevant experience

Experience in software development and data architecture

Strong in database technologies, SQL, U-SQL, PL/SQL or T-SQL or NoSQL

Experience in programming in at least one of the following languages: C#, JAVA, JavaScript

Microsoft Azure technology stack for development is highly desired

Exposure to REACT or similar frameworks

Understanding of at least one of the following - Web Services, SOAP, XML, REST, Azure API Apps

History working in Scrum/Agile/DevOps teams

3 or more years as an IT professional

Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications
