Node.js Developer

new

Company: Spring
Position: Full Stack or Backend Engineer
Tech stack: Node.js (focus), JavaScript/TypeScript, React, AWS, Serverless Architecture, DynamoDB
Location: Remote anywhere in the US

What you’ll do:

As a team, we are still small enough for your influence to be felt in every corner, and yet we're well established enough as a company that we don't often have to worry about existential questions. We're looking for engineers that can help us build on our solid foundation and take advantage of the exciting opportunity ahead of us.

The Partnerships team, in particular, works on Spring’s ever-growing partnership platform. We help enable integrations on our partner platforms (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) that open up a world of possibilities to our Spring creators. Our mission is to be where our creators are, providing seamless integration experiences on their favorite platforms based on their Spring shops.

What we're looking for:

One of the company's core values is problem-solving. We believe that a bias towards thoughtful action helps us explore opportunities and test theories quickly, so an engineer who relishes analyzing a complex problem and moving swiftly to solve it would be a good fit here. Balanced against that, in some codebase areas, we need to move deliberately and carefully where risk is higher. An engineer who can strike that balance—moving quickly when possible; moving with more care when required—would enjoy the challenges we face at Spring. We are building a new SOA-style platform for partnerships, and we are looking for someone to help us evolve our core services.

As an Engineer for the Partnerships team, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong programming experience in JavaScript (Node.js)

  • Experience designing and developing API’s at scale

  • Experience with AWS services related to compute, storage, and event-driven applications

  • Experience with Serverless Framework or serverless development concepts

  • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL and working with an ORM

  • Demonstrates a track record of delivering impactful technical projects

Relevant experience:

  • Modern Agile development, familiarity with TDD, CI/CD (required)

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (required)

  • Designed and built backend services at scale (required)

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code

  • Proficiency at cloud-based serverless application development (preferable)

  • Architectural modeling, domain-driven design (preferable)

  • Serverless Framework experience (preferable)

  • Familiarity with NoSQL, specifically DynamoDB (preferable)

Staff Javascript Software Engineer

new

Staff / Sr. Staff Front End Software Engineer - Remote or in Office (UT, PA, CA)

Nav is democratizing small business financing. In other words, we give small business owners access and control. Yes, this challenges the norm, but it means working with curious, purpose driven, dedicated, and inquisitively smart people who push themselves, our company and the community to the next level (and every level after that). We are the people behind the tech. And when it’s good, we look for better. We don’t over think the value we bring nor spend time trying to revamp mantras. We also do not come up with some crafty way to tell you who we are and what we offer. We are Nav! Here, you’ll gain a wealth of experience, learn the tricks of the trade, and work with winners. All companies say people are connected to their mission but in our case our mission and our people are one – it is a way of being not just a cause you are committed to. And since 2013, Nav has holistically and organically developed its own ideology because Nav can only be Nav.

WHAT WE EMPOWER YOU WITH:

Helping the Front End team design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable code.
The power to continuously ship and learn from experiments and features.
Full ownership for each of our customer’s experiences helping them strive for excellence in building, leveraging, and protecting their businesses.
Supporting, teaching and mentoring the Front End team with relentless kindness. And an environment where you are encouraged as a leader to learn from your team.
Contribute to discussions on a diverse set of topics relating to the business and engineering team.
Jumping right into Nav's agile/scrum process.
An environment where you can ask for help to avoid rabbit holes.
Maintain and integrate with existing applications by fixing defects.
Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing.
Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features.
Adhere to current documentation standards and produce necessary documentation for training and compliance.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Experience building large front end applications using React/Redux and Apollo Client.
Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and considerations.
Experience working in Agile teams and iterating to build sustainable and iterative solutions.
Experience with test-driven development.

You're an effective leader with the ability to grow, mentor and challenge a team to do their best work every day.
You're known for crossing the boundaries of your function to meet company goals.
You care about the people you work with but challenge them directly when necessary.
You are comfortable delivering feedback and coaching up, down and to the side

INCLUSION AT NAV:

At Nav, we celebrate what makes our employees unique because the businesses we serve are progressively diverse and distinctly original. Navericks are diverse, side hustlers, immigrants, veterans, queer, and we push generational boundaries. We are college dropouts, PhDs, special needs parents, allies, pet owners and community leaders. Navericks are human. We are committed to upholding a safe, supportive environment where everyone matters. We are committed to making a better future for all of us. We have created a workplace where people of all backgrounds can express their identities authentically.

To put it simply we want you to be proud to be you.

OUR COMPENSATION PHILOSOPHY IS SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL:

We believe great, enduring relationships are grounded in trust and transparency. Compensation shouldn’t be a distraction, and employees should understand how pay and career advancement decisions are made. Providing equal pay for equal work is table stakes for being a great place to work. Gender and ethnic inequity should only be something that our children read about in history books. We believe providing Navsters with company ownership, competitive pay, and a range of meaningful benefits is the start of creating a culture where people want to give the best they’ve got — not because they’re simply making money, but because they’ve fallen in love with our vision, mission, values, and team.

OUR IMPACT ON YOU:

Competitive Pay. Company Ownership. Unlimited Vacation. Benefits Day One. 6 Weeks Paid Parental Leave. Work From Anywhere (yes we were distributed before it was cool). Flexible Work Arrangements. Free Telehealth and Telemental Health For All Employees. Employee Networking and Events. Community Network Groups (women’s, PRIDE, culture). Meaningful Perks and Rewards. Learning and Development Opportunities.

A NAVERICK’S DNA:

We look at the future and say “why not”; we see possibilities where others see problems or routines. We show the way ahead and are committed to achieving ambitious goals.
We practice straight talk and listen generously to each other with empathy. We value different opinions and point of views. We ensure that we connect outside as well as inside to learn from others and inspire each other.
We hold ourselves accountable for delivering results. We choose to not to be a victim of circumstance. We make decisions & take responsibility so that we can act & support each other, rather than adopting defensive, and “finger pointing” behaviors.
As leaders we motivate & engage our teams to undertake beyond what they originally thought possible, by developing our teams & creating the conditions for people to grow and empower themselves through enabling & coaching.

Senior Javascript Full stack Engineer (Paris, France)

new

Leveraging your experience in building and maintaining complex business applications, you will take part in the development of both APIs and user interfaces.

We are looking for someone who is eager to:

  • Collaborate with other developers to ship new features

  • Be in charge of the overall architecture of applications you build

  • Ensure that we have the right tests and structure in place to make sure that we can move quickly without breaking everything

  • Share your knowledge of full-stack development principles and best practices with the team

  • Keep learning new technologies and be on the look-out for new ideas that we should try out

What we are looking for

  • Solid knowledge of JavaScript and Typescript

  • Experience with modern JavaScript and Typescript tooling and libraries

  • Experience with back-end applications in Node.js

  • Experience with front-end applications in Angular/React or similar frameworks

  • Quality-oriented mindset: testing, code reviews, code quality, etc.

  • Awareness of performance considerations

  • A passion for simple, maintainable, and readable code that balances pragmatism and performance

Bonus points:

  • Experience with AWS or GCP

  • Experience with the micro-frontends architecture

  • Experience with the micro-services architecture

How do we build our products?

For the frontend, we have adopted the micro-frontends architecture for building our user interface. Each team has the freedom to pick their own framework (Angular/React) for the frontend they need to build. All SPAs we build use our UI library and get plugged into the shell. We also build a multitude of SDKs from Web and Mobile (iOS, Android) to CTV and Unity.

For the backend, we have multiple services (APIs and Lambdas) written in Javascript and Typescript. We leverage PostgreSQL and DynamoDB as our main databases and manage our infrastructure with Terraform and Cloudformation. The principles of infrastructure as code are very important to us and we commit everything including KMS-encrypted secrets. Our most important services have 100% code coverage and we deploy our pipeline runners on GCP on a Kubernetes cluster.

We process hundreds of millions of requests per day and are building our analytics platform on Kinesis Firehose, AWS S3, EMR jobs, and TimescaleDB to provide performant analytics for our clients. Internally we use Athena and Redash.

We rely on a multitude of AWS/GCP services for building, deploying, serving, monitoring, and scaling our services. We use Gitlab for our code and CI/CD. To manage our issues we use Jira.

Our vision as a team

We are building a product and engineering team that is strongly committed to a high level of quality in our products and code. We believe that automation is the key to consistently achieving that along with velocity of development, joy, and pride in what we deliver.

At Didomi we are organized into feature teams and work with 2-week sprints. We do our best to avoid pointless meetings. The majority of the engineering team works remotely from all over the world, the only hard requirement is a 4-hour overlap with CET working hours.

We rely on automated tests of all sorts (unit, integration, linters, you-name-it!) and continuous integration/delivery to build flexible applications that are able to evolve without breaking. We trust that it enables engineers to focus on the quality of their code and iterate fast without fears of breaking stuff. And when we break stuff, we fix it, create a post-mortem and learn from our mistakes.

Recruitment Process

  • An intro call with a Tech Lead or the CTO

  • A code challenge to build a simple API or a SPA. This is used as the basis of discussion for the next step. You can find our challenges on our github page (https://github.com/didomi/challenges). We also accept suitable open source projects in place of the challenge.

  • A 1h and 15min code review session and architecture discussion with 3-4 Didomi engineers

  • A set of 1:1 30-minute calls with the CTO, engineers, and (occasionally) a product manager

For the architecture discussion, we plan to sketch an architecture (think of APIs, clients, queues, jobs, etc) and discuss options and tradeoffs as we would on a normal day at Didomi.

We understand you already have a job, obligations (and maybe a personal life!) so we'll work with you to make sure it doesn't take up too much of your time while still providing a good basis for a very concrete discussion.

We’re looking for friendly, awesome people who love PHP, WordPress, code quality, and speed to come and join our Product Development Team

Summary

Are you a WordPress developer who loves building new features, squashing bugs, and continuously improving quality? Do you love optimizing code? Does legacy code make you want to refactor it to current best practices and standards? Does making complexity simple excite you? Do you have a knack for teamwork with people from different backgrounds and skills?

If you answered yes to these questions, we are sure this position will sound super exciting to you!

We’re an all-in-one WordPress plugin for Affiliate Marketers. We help online business owners monetize their sites tastefully and track all of their links, at-scale. We are looking for a friendly person in love with PHP, WordPress, code quality, and speed to join our growing Product Development team.

In your job as a WordPress Developer, your primary focus will be building new features, fixing bugs, and continuously improving our WordPress plugins

About Us

The team behind Lasso are seasoned affiliate marketers who’ve been running online businesses since 2012. Andrew and Laura Fiebert, who co-founded Lasso, have large affiliate sites – in 2020 their sites reached over 11 million people. They struggled to manage all of the affiliate links on their sites with existing plugins. So, they decided to grow a team and build the All-On-One Affiliate Marketing plugin for WordPress. They have been helping online business owners monetize their sites tastefully and track all of their links ever since.

We currently have 7 people on the team located all over the world. We’re hoping to add more passionate team members in the coming months! Learn more about our amazing team here: https://getlasso.co/about/

What You Will Be Doing:

Here is a list describing the tasks involved in this position (do you happen to like making lists? So do we!):

  • Contribute to continuously improving Lasso through new features and bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional development team to get code improvements built, tested, demoed, and ready to ship
  • Seek opportunities to make our plugin products run faster, be easier to maintain, and be more reliable, robust, and scalable
  • Contribute to our code libraries, code reviews, process improvements, and technical decisions.

What You Need To Excel:

Be Yourself.
The Lasso team is diverse and composed of people from all over the world. Respect, collaboration, and inclusivity are some of our core values.

Solid PHP and Javascript expertise.
You will bring proven experience in building, improving, and maintaining our PHP and JS code. You develop using modern PHP and JS (for example, OOP, Composer, or PSR’s) but also know when to use procedural.

Know WordPress.
Our products are built on top of and used within WordPress. We use a superset of WordPress coding standards.

Passion and humbleness.
You are a skilled, passionate, and humble developer who is friendly, collaborative, and supportive. Solving problems and building solutions that help people are the values that make your work special and rewarding.

Consider how your work impacts others.
Your code is a pleasure to use, read, and understand. When working in the codebase, you leave things better than when you found them. You value personal growth and constructive feedback. People feel good around you because you love sharing what you know while continuously improving yourself, remaining thoughtful and flexible in your approach.

We care about the work you do, not about the hours you sit at your desk.
You can organize your working day with flexible working hours. There are no time cards to stamp, just customers to make happy and friendly teammates to work with!

Proficient knowledge of English.
Empathetic and collaborative communication is key: you are comfortable writing, speaking, and listening in English with technical and non-technical teammates.

So what do you think? If you’d like to grow long-term with our team and build amazing things, we want to hear from you!

Frontend Lead Engineer

Role

The main responsibility for this position is to produce high quality code and shape together with the team the best practices for the frontend applications to manage complex data structures in component state using React-Redux. Also an important part of the job is to interact with our designer to create pixel perfect UIs according to design specs.

In this role you will be working as part of a small and highly effective cross functional team, where most developers have a full stack understanding of the technical challenges.

As a main frontend developer in the team, you will be part of all major technical decisions, shaping the best frontend practices and creating new features for the web app by deploying code to production regularly.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a passionate React Engineer that wants to own and help shape our web application for the construction industry. You should have a good understanding of web technologies and the different challenges of web development, having previously developed several production applications. We expect a strong intimacy with JavaScript, as our application runs mainly in React, Redux and Typescript. Previous experience on that stack is mandatory. Another important point is having a deep understanding of developing with REST APIs, with a bonus of being willing to get your hands dirty also on improving backend APIs when needed.

We believe in a growing and learning mindset, where developers are ready to face new challenges, and learn new technologies when needed. Thus, having the right skills and a positive attitude to learning, is more important for us than the degree. A BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject is relevant, as we value an understanding of the fundamentals, but it’s not a prerequisite.

We define ourselves as an agile company, so being open for feedback and adapting to change is core to being a good fit to our team. Our company's working language is English, in which we expect all candidates to effectively communicate (written and spoken).

In this role, we also value interest in keeping up to date with the latest trends and to share knowledge about best frontend practices with the team.

This position is open for fully remote, but has a requirement of being located in the EU.

What we offer

You will be part of an amazing journey to transform the construction industry with a bold and caring team. Along this path, we will challenge each other, have difficult open conversations, and develop as we learn.

In addition to the above, we will also take care of you and provide you with the right challenges for growth. Some of our benefits:

  • Paid time off (25 vacation days per year)
  • Flexible working hours
  • Full remote possible
  • Share options program
  • Company gatherings twice a year (in person when possible again)

Catenda

We believe in open standards for all our customer data to achieve interoperability between applications, from inception, through design and construction onto the maintenance of a building. Another core belief is that our customers should have full control over their data: all data that goes in, can also be exported out.

We value quality of the code and the product by working as a tight and effective distributed development team, preferably asynchronously, often sharing screens to collaborate. Catenda has offices in Oslo and Bergen, composed by an international team of 10+ nationalities working remotely across the EU.

You enjoy the challenge of growing a product from an (already) large user base to a larger one with tens of millions of MAU with all the complexities it comes with.

You are an advocate for static typing and prefer to use a minimal set of simple tools over a diverse range of complex ones.

You believe variety is the spice of life - In this role, you’ll be developing a complex app deployable to web and app stores, a static site generator, building internal automation infrastructure/tooling and contributing to our internal CMS. You could also be working on our fully serverless architecture on the backend if you feel comfortable doing so.

Drops is a deliberately small, but super effective team. You’re naturally drawn to the fate of the products & driven to grow as an engineer rather than to manage people.

The role:
You’ll be a core part of the development team, working on both our main (Drops) and auxiliary products (Droplets, Visual Dictionary, Internal CMS tooling). Drops values clear, honest communication and transparency. It’s the linchpin of our culture, success and freedom. You’ll be involved in both high and low level decision making and are available during European working hours (10AM - 6PM CET). Remember, we’re looking for a missionary here rather than a mercenary.

You will:
Work cross functionally with our lead designer / data analyst / engineers / project owner to define, scope, estimate and plan various aspects of the product.
Work independently (and with other engineers!) to develop new web experiences
Support of production applications / sites that you’ve built or helped to build
Communicate effectively and often to ensure that everyone is aligned

What’d be different here:
We’re a small team. We’re optimising for impact, not for headcount. You’ll be carefully considering any tradeoff that would lead to increased complexity
We’re using a single programming language - TypeScript. We have strict linter rules Every pull request needs to be approved before it lands in master. We use the rebase workflow and we release a few times a week
We’re using React + Redux to develop UI, on both mobile and the web. We use selectors extensively. Our backend is on AWS, deployed multi-region to Lambda and using RDS for our DB
We are BIG on AB testing. We focus on releasing high impact projects and minimise noise
We’re doing things in a functional way, concentrating state, minimising side effects and making dependencies explicit. We’re sharing 98%+ of the code between Android, iOS and Web
We automate where it has positive ROI
Our biggest challenge is (and will remain) managing the complexity of sharing a lot of code between different apps

You have:
At least 5 years of experience in software (product) development
At least 2 years of experience in building apps with React or React Native with state management tools (redux, flux, etc)
Experience architecting and developing complex web or mobile apps and static sites
Some experience in understanding basic user funnels, and collaborating with support to resolve user-facing issues
Project management experience (everyone manages projects at Drops)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work well cross-functionally
Experienced in strongly typed languages

Benefits:
🌍 All the perks of remote working
👥 An awesomely compact 20 person team
🧠 Yearly educational allowance
💪 Fitness allowance
💻 High-end Apple hardware and ergonomic accessories
🏖 36 days of holiday per year
✈️ Quarterly team gathering somewhere in the world (Amsterdam, Iceland, Lisbon and Budapest were previous locations)

We strongly respect your work life balance but we are looking for someone who is passionate about the product and role, not just another 9-5 job.

If you think that might be you, we would love to hear from you!

We're building a new way to think and work with numbers.

Causal is a tool for performing calculations, visualising data, and communicating with numbers (check it out). We take the good parts of spreadsheets and combine them with the good parts of programming, to make number-crunching fast, collaborative, and accessible to everyone.

We're a small team and well-funded by some great VCs (Coatue, Passion Capital) and angel investors (Naval Ravikant, Scott Belsky, and many more) across the US and Europe.

We're looking for a full-stack engineer to accelerate our product development. As one of our first hires, you'll play a significant role in setting the direction of Causal's product, company, and culture.

Our product primarily consists of a web UI on the frontend and a computation engine on the backend. Causal needs a low floor and a high ceiling — it should be simple enough for anyone to get started with, but powerful enough for really complex use-cases.

Performance is paramount on both the frontend and backend.

Familiarity with out tech stack is requires (frontend: TypeScript/React, backend: TypeScript/Node/Go).

Please check out this link for more info.

Over 500 companies (and growing!) all over the world like Lufthansa, Canadian Tire, or Rabobank benefit from happier and more productive employees with Filestage.

Your mission

You simplify our customers' workflow. As a member of our interdisciplinary product squads, you take part in building outstanding features. You revolutionize how customers receive and manage feedback.

You take full ownership of planning, technical conception, implementation, testing, and releasing of new functionality. You monitor the progress of your team, overcome obstacles and manage expectations.

You contribute to our well-oiled development-machine. Coding is fun when developing scalable and maintenance-friendly modules is made easy. You work together with our DevOps chapters. You design functionality and put test scenarios in place. You review the code of peers, share your experiences, and refactor your code.

You’re good at

You’re an experienced Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of developing feature-rich SPAs using Node, React, Websockets & MongoDB.

You’re a strong communicator and have experience collaborating with a distributed team. You know how to explain complex tech to non-tech people and how to communicate with various stakeholders to ensure everyone is up to date.

You are skilled in validating requirements, translating UI/UX design of complex features into a technical concept, breaking this down into an action plan, and successfully executing it together with your team.

You hold yourself to a high coding standard. You write reliable, performant, and easy to understand code. You are experienced in using best practices like DDD, TDD, and CD. You are keen to become even better.

This is what you get

Your responsibilities

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to building our core product and help with ongoing maintenance.

Your qualifications

Ruby & Rails: Extremely knowledgeable and proficient in both Ruby and Ruby on Rails. Our main application is a large and complex Ruby on Rails app and requires some deep knowledge to navigate efficiently. Given our small team size, we work with a monolithic application and only break off services when absolutely necessary to keep overhead low. We utilize rails views (ERB) when we can and use React when the UI calls for it. Note that we have a mini ruby project that we’d like to use to help in evaluating skill level.

Javascript & React: Solid understanding and ability to work in React with Redux. Some areas of our application involve complex React apps, backed by Redux state.

Postgres & ActiveRecord: History of working with Postgres and interfacing with Postgres through ActiveRecord. Being able to think about potential performance implications while working through projects is very helpful.

Full Stack Focused: We are a small team and our projects therefore involve working on both the frontend and backend feature set in parallel to complete projects. Having a generalist mentality is very helpful here.

Testing: Experience writing rspec tests as well as proven ability to be able to reason through what and when to test.

Navigating & Internalizing Existing Codebases: Proven history of jumping into existing, complex codebases and becoming productive. Independence and mindset is a key attribute here. While we anticipate there being a learning curve and assisting in that learning, the ability to just dive in and be able to figure things out independently is a huge help during the learning process.

Debugging, Diagnosing & Investigating Issues: A large part of the job includes investigating and diagnosing application bugs or customer issues. Proven ability to reason through these issues to diagnose problems, present some potential solutions, and convey these issues and solutions in a clear manner to our support team is important.

Writing & Communication: History of very explicit, clear, and detailed communication including pull requests, git commits, documentation, and general team interactions.

GitHub: Proficiency with Git, comfortable using GitHub as primary code and project management platform.

Working Remotely: Proficiency and experience with working remotely.

English Proficiency: Comfortable clearly and accurately presenting ideas and documenting work in writing (90% of work at Loomly happens asynchronously).

Radical candor? More like radical gander, right?

Ok, enough goose puns for the moment, but now that we’ve got your attention, allow us to tell you more about this company called GooseChase and why might you want to join us!

You love an app that makes you smile, right? Well our product is a lot of fun. And even though our origins are that of a humble scavenger hunt app, we’ve now evolved (hatched?) into a super-flexible platform used by millions to create all sorts of experiences! It’s all the best parts of a scavenger hunt, with a delightful twist to keep you coming back for more.

With all that fun and flexibility, we’ve been growing like crazy. For teachers in the classroom, we’re the new “TV cart”, aka the learning tool that students legitimately look forward to. For today’s workplaces, virtual or otherwise, we help the team connect with each other to the point where they want to come into (or logon) to work. And for local cities and towns, we bring families together in a way that truly builds a sense of community.

But we’re also unique in that we don’t have any investors and, as a result, are able to put our people before profit. Seriously. We have a profit sharing program specifically for this reason! It also means we grow at the pace we want to and put the time into making this the best possible place to work. When we do something, it’s because it’s the best thing for our team and our customers, no matter what. We’ve actually been fully remote from the very beginning, because we wanted our people to have the flexibility to live wherever and however they wanted!

So what exactly is this job?

If you’re looking for impact & ownership, this is about as good as it gets. You’ll have the opportunity to take lead on our back-end tech stack going forward, charting our technical path, contributing to our product direction and helping shape the team as we grow!

From a day to day perspective, you’ll be a core member of our cross-functional product development team, focused on both the game organizer and participant experiences. Within our product team, there are no silos or artificial barriers, meaning you’ll be working closely with other engineers and designers! Whatever will help give our customers the best experience possible!

We recognize building the best products requires using the best tools, so we empower our engineers through access to the best tools and hardware available to remove barriers and enable fast iterating, robust code deployments.

In terms of technologies, you’ll be working closely with our front-end engineers as well as developing our API and async task system which:

  • Is currently based on Django / TastyPie / Celery, with plans to migrate to a Node.js-based architecture (that’s where you come in!)
  • Stores data in Postgresql, with images & videos in S3
  • Utilizes redis and memcached for caching, session storage, and async task result storage
  • Runs on Linode, switching over shortly to our new kubernetes-based cluster
  • Powers our mobile applications and web-based game manager

Looking at how we work, our methodologies are:

  • Continuous integration using CircleCI to empower developer autonomy and shorten development cycles
  • Agile, with two week sprint cycles
  • Daily async check-ins - stay connected to the team, but without zombie standups
  • Project management in Asana, with our “office” taking place on Slack & Zoom - we have a very strong gif game

How do you know if this might be for you?

At GooseChase you’ll be working alongside a team of highly motivated, world-class engineers with tons of opportunities for learning, growth, and mentorship. Our product team works closely together, so we are extremely selective about who we hire to ensure the calibre of our engineering talent remains high. Be prepared to bring your ‘A’ game!

We understand that relevant experience comes in all shapes and sizes and the ability to do the job is all that matters. With that in mind, we aren’t going to put together a generic list of all the requirements that we’re looking for with this job, however, there are certain things we are looking for - specifically:

  • Have you been able to collaborate & communicate successfully with others in a cross-functional team?
  • Do you have very high standards for your work and desire to work with other talented people?
  • Have you succeeded at architecting and implementing APIs that have been used by lots of people?
  • Are you passionate about full stack development and the web ecosystem?
  • Do you bring a depth of expertise in security and performance best practices?
  • Are you experienced in developing production-grade web systems that are performant and fault-tolerant at scale?
  • Are you based in the GMT-4 to GMT-8 time zones (North America), so you can work closely with our distributed product team?
  • Can you get down with an uncomfortable amount of goose puns?

Ok the last one isn’t super work related, but we honestly do have a lot of goose puns. It’s one of our favourite parts of our culture!

We do things differently here. We’re all about fun, but also making an impact. We care deeply about working with amazing people, and have set up our company culture specifically for that - our compensation is competitive, our work environment is autonomous and collaborative, and our emphasis is on learning and growth. Put simply, it’s the type of company we actually want to work at ourselves!

So, this is us, standing in front of you, asking you to join us.
