Flightradar24 is looking for a Front-end Developer with extensive JavaScript development experience. You will play an important role in modernizing and developing the Flightradar24 website, and your work will improve the experience of millions of users every day.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with a team of developers and product owners on JavaScript and web development
  • Be a lead contributor to the work on modernizing our website and developing and maintaining a new modern lightweight JavaScript layer
  • Deliver modern, testable and maintainable code

Who you are

  • At least 4 years experience of modern web development
  • Knowledge of modern and standards-compliant JavaScript development, i.e. ES6 and above
  • Knowledge of current web technologies including JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, and tools like Webpack
  • Knowledge of responsive design practices, delivered cleanly and consistently across a wide variety of platforms, browsers and devices
  • Natural focus on high standards, quality, testing and unit testing, and tools like Karma, Jasmine and/or Jest
  • Previous work experience interacting with APIs through AJAX/JSON, and ideally also Google Maps APIs or APIs of other map providers
  • Familiarity with, or interest in, automated testing, continuous integration, and cloud deployment
  • Experience with high-performance web delivery, optimizing front-end code, page-load performance and caching is a strong plus
  • Strong written and spoken English

Note that this is a fully remote position, but we would like you be located within a 3-hour time difference from Sweden's timezone (CET/CEST) to align your working hours with the rest of the team.

Senior Software Engineer

What We’re Looking For:
Someone who can lead the development of a product through architecture, execution, and delivery
3+ years experience with Node, Mongo, Express
3+ years of experience with modern javascript frameworks (Vue, React)
Familiarity with standard mobile application UX patterns and interactions
Experience with:
React Native and associated IOS/Android SDK’s
Leveraging REST-ful APIs with React for complex front-end UI applications
Building web apps with Vue
Compiling React Native to iOS and Android app store.
Pipelines and deployment processes

Bonus:
Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, fastlane mobile deployments
Previous experience managing a team or product
