Safari UI Software Engineer

Your vision and impact will extend beyond Safari, as we prototype and build features involving everything from new hardware to Foundation and Core Animation, to Siri and CloudKit, and everything in between.
As a Safari Engineer, you will invent new features and guide them through the software development process. Your involvement will span from brainstorming, sketching, prototyping, coding, debugging, and through to shipping. You will also improve existing features based on customer feedback. Throughout the process, you will work collaboratively with the rest of the team, and with outside teams, including the human interface design team, WebKit, and development teams for all Apple platforms.Apply

As an engineer on the Maps Client team, your primary responsibility will be high-level UI development, but you'll often find yourself working at different levels of the stack in order to pull off challenging features. You should feel comfortable moving fluidly from network programming to framework and application development. You'll be maintaining and improving not just Maps, but also its' supporting frameworks and Siri and SpringBoard components. You'll also be responsible for debugging and delivering the best possible application performance and adopting the best testing practices to help you find and fix bugs early.
As the face of the Maps app running on iOS, macOS, and watchOS, every engineer on our team can have an enormous impact on the product we ship. To succeed here, you'll need above all to be passionate about building a map browsing, search, and navigation experience that is the best of its kind.
